#1: Begin making your house a restful, quiet space. At least 15 – 30 minutes prior to your appointment time, please turn off the TV/Computer and finish off any tasks.
#2: Create a relaxing atmosphere. Light some candles or incense with the scents that you find personally relaxing. Doing this simple thing will help you create a sense of peace and relaxation in your home.
#3: Be comfortable. Whether that’s a robe & slippers or a set of pajamas, you’ll want something that’s easy to slip back into after your massage.
#4: Keep hydrated. Drinking additional water over the next 24-48hours after your massage will help your body to flush out the toxins that get brought to the surface during the session. In general, most people do not drink enough water, which increases muscle tension.
#5: Give yourself extra time. Schedule yourself an extra 20-30minutes after the massage to do absolutely nothing but to luxuriate on the couch. Enjoy some tea. BE on vacation…
What should I wear?
Step #3 above outlines what you should wear prior to the massage. On the table, however, I highly encourage my clients to disrobe fully. You will be properly draped the entire time. Any clothing is restrictive and also limits valuable work in the lower back/hip regions. Ultimately the choice is up to you, as your comfort is key.
Is it proper to tip?
While it is always appreciated as an expression of gratitude for especially good service, doing multiple massages in a row, extra time given, or for longer distances traveled, my prices are all-inclusive, so tipping is at your discretion.
The best tip you can give me is to refer me to your friends and family.
Is it necessary to get a full-body massage each time?
This is your time, your massage, your vacation – so you can customize it anyway you want. You can divide the time any way you want. When working therapeutically, usually the time is spent on one or two areas. We will discuss your needs prior to starting your massage.
Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Gift Certificates can be bought on my website. I usually have gift certificates on me at all times. Additionally, I can email or post them to you (or the recipient).
What is the Cancellation Policy?
Should you need to cancel your 60- or 90-minute massage, you must give 24-hours notice to avoid being charged for the session.
Any appointments for 2 or more hours of time (couples massages, chair massage, event massage) must give 48-hours notice to avoid the cancellation policy.
